Horry County home destroyed by fire

Horry County Fire Rescue was called to a fire at 635 Goretown Road about 2:30 p.m. Friday.

The homeowners had just turned the power on to the house today, according to Battalion Chief Matthew Montgomery. They weren't living in the home.

The house was a total loss.

No one was hurt.
