Sandy continues to slowly weaken over the NE states, but strong winds and heavy rain will still impact that region. Cold air wrapping in behind Sandy will create blizzard conditions in the mountains of West Virgina bringing them up to 2+ feet of snow. The Carolinas will continue to deal with windy conditions between 15 and 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph possible. Clouds will wrap around Sandy as well, along with a few sprinkles. Temps will struggle to reach the upper 50s through the afternoon. You can get the latest thinking on the the tropics on the Hurricane Central page.
