Unseasonably warm weather with mostly sunny skies today as high pressure remains to our Northeast. That high will push away allowing Hurricane Sandy to move North to the Bahamas. Sandy will pass a few hundred miles off of the Carolina Coast over the weekend, but it will bring some impacts to our area. Sandy is a very large system and will overspread the area with clouds and increase rain chances from Friday afternoon through Saturday. Winds will be gusting around 35 mph at times. You can also track any chance for showers on First Alert Live Doppler 15000 or if you have an iPhone or Android make sure you download or app! Higher gusts and rain chances will remain near the coastal areas. For the latest thinking on the Sandy check out the Hurricane Central page.Once Sandy passes, areas around the Mid Atlantic up to New England will be dealing with a developing Nor'Easter. As it strenghts, cold air will be pulled down from Canada into the Southeast as a cold front surges through late Sunday. This will bring a shot of some of the coldest air so far this season! Highs will struggle to reach the mid 60s with morning temps in the 30s and 40s.
