Eight security officers resigned two weeks ago from the John L. McMillan Federal Building in Florence.
The officers were contracted through Walden Security out of Tennessee to provide security for the federal building.
Walden's Director of Operations Mick Sharp says he is not going to release any information as to why the officers resigned.
Sharp says that's privileged information, but they are actively working to replace the officers and have their obligations covered at the federal building.
The guards would screen visitors as they came to the building and provided security for the courtrooms.
