Florence County Sheriff's Office investigators have arrested Erick Antwaine Simon, 35, of Lamar in connection with the shooting death of Junior Lee Johnson, Jr. on East Lynches River Road near Cartersville on October 12.

Simon is charged with Accessory Before the Fact of a Felony.

Simon is accused of notifying the shooter that Johnson was present at the Associates Lounge just prior to the shooting, with knowledge of the impending criminal act. Afterward, Simon fled the scene before the shooting took place, according to investigators.

The incident remains under investigation and additional arrests and charges are anticipated.
