Florence County will give the town of Timmonsville $25,000 to fix a sewer cave-in.

The town has blocked off Foxworth and Market Streets where they cave-in happened.

The money is coming from Florence County council's utility funding budget for the Timmonsville district.

Some residents say they hope the problem is fixed because it stinks.

"It's on and off . Usually when the pump is not running, you can't smell it, it's not as bad. But once they start turning the pump then that's when you can smell it. You can smell it through the whole town," Kenyatta Fulwood of Timmonsville.

Many residents say since the sewer cave-in, their drinking water has been yellow.

We called Timmonsville town officials to get more answers and they have yet to call us back.
