Burning car slows down highway 501 traffic in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WPDE) - A car fire off Highway 501 near Jason Boulevard slowed down traffic Saturday evening. Myrtle Beach Fire Department firefighters were called to the scene around 6:30 p.m.

Once crews arrived they put the fire out quickly.

Officials say no one was injured.

Myrtle Beach Police officers reduced northbound traffic on highway 501 to one lane for about an hour until the car was towed away.
