Marion police say a man died and his brother is injured after a fight led to a stabbing.

On Saturday night, Marion police responded to a fight in progress with possible shots fired near the intersection of S. Withlacoochee Avenue and Reaves Street.

Around the same time Sheriff's deputies went to Marion County Medical Center's emergency room regarding two victims with stab wounds, according to a news release.

Rishawn Gause says he was at a home when he heard his brother, Ian Gause, and another man in an argument outside, the news release added.

The fight escalated and he and his brother were stabbed, according to Rishawn.

Ian Darnell Gause died at the hospital around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police charged Richard Allen Woodberry, 36, with Aggravated Assault and Manslaughter.
