The Georgetown County Sheriff's Internet Crime Unit, as part of the South Carolina Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, charged a Florida man with one count of Criminal Solicitation of a Minor and three counts of Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Minor.
When the Florida Department of Law Enforcement executed a search warrant at the home of Justin Slavinski, 32, of Apopka, Florida, they say they found Slavinski had been in contact with as many as forty young females and sent 27,000 instant messages throughout Florida and other states over the internet.
The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office was involved because investigators there say they found Slavinski online making contact with minors for sexual activity.
The search of Slavinski's home also revealed, according to a news release, numerous photographs depicting child pornography and provided evidence supporting the investigation by Georgetown County Sheriff's investigators.
Slavinski was arrested and booked into the Lake County Jail, where he is awaiting extradition to South Carolina.
Slavinski's expected to be turned over to the Georgetown County Detention Center tomorrow night.
