Deputies respond to Robeson County homicide

Tonya has been reporting stories happening in the Pee Dee for more than 10 years.

Investigators with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to an apparent homicide on Highway 130 near the Maxton community Wednesday morning.

Deputies say a homeowner called 911 saying his renter, Timothy Ray McCutchen, 44, was unresponsive.

Deputies say they're not sure how McCutchen was killed and the NC State Bureau of Investigations is helping with the investigation.
