Florence County Sheriff's Deputies arrested and charged James Hannett with Possession of an Explosive Device.

Captain Michael Nunn says Hannett set off some type of explosive device near Smith and Smith mobile home park off of Gilbert Drive Tuesday afternoon.

Neighbors called 911.

There were no injuries or damage to property.

Deputies initially didn't find Hannett, but they did find remnants of the device.

Officers aren't releasing the materials used in the device for fear of copycats.

Deputies were in the process of getting a warrant to arrest Hannett when Nunn says he showed back up at the scene.
