MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) - Around midnight, Myrtle Beach Police responded to Myrtle Beach Intermediate school for an alarm activation.
Police say they met the keyholder at the building, who said he and his wife saw a man with blonde hair and a red shirt run past the front doors.
Officers then surrounded the outside of the building, and entered through the front doors. At that time, the suspect, Jason Lee Baker, 31, ran through the back door and was grabbed by police.
Baker admitted that he went into the Myrtle Beach Intermediate school through a door that was left open. He told officers he was going to use the restroom, get some water and then sleep in the school overnight.
Baker is charged burglary.
