Steel workers in Georgetown say they are not ready to go on strike yet, but they want people to know they are ready if contract talks break down.
The contract between the steel workers union and ArcelorMittal ran out on Saturday though plants remain open while contract talks continue.
Union members rallied Wednesday outside the Georgetown plant at shift change, to show their solidarity. Union members say they are doing this to put pressure on the company to come to an agreement.
"The more people we get to come out, the company still sees that, we're sticking together with it, staying real strong. We're not letting back anything," said Joshua Leday, a union member.
Leday says the company wants to reduce pension benefits for new hires. The union is trying to hold on to its retirement plan.
