Myrtle Beach tourist wins $100,000 on scratch-off ticket

After vacationing in Myrtle Beach, Eradio Marquez returned home to New York only to turn around and drive the 12 hours back to South Carolina after realizing he won $100,000 in the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The Kangaroo Express at 4815 Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach sold the $100,000 winning ticket.

Marquez won on a $5 Pure Gold scratch-off.

The odds of winning $100,000 are one in 480,000.

All five $100,000 winning tickets in the Pure Gold game have been claimed.

For selling the claimed ticket, Kangaroo Express received a commission of $1,000.
