The father of the bride is breathing easier now that his daughter has won $100,000 playing the South Carolina Education Lottery while visiting with her family in Hartsville.

The ticket was purchased at Markette Store at 1002 North 5th Street.

The cash will take care of the wedding and the bride's student loans.

"I don't buy a lot of tickets," she admitted. "I felt lucky and decided on that one."

The $5 ticket overcame the one in 480,000 odds to win the last top prize in the Pure Gold game.

For selling the claimed ticket, Markette Store received a commission of $1,000.
