Richland County deputies say they found the body of a 26-year-old black female in the Villages at Lakeshore subdivision, after receiving a call around 7 a.m. Thursday.

A spokesman for the department says the body was found on the front lawn of a home on the 600 block of Heron Glen Drive. A male friend ot the victim is being detained at the home for questioning.

Deputies also stress that they believe it is not related to the recent Gabbiee Swainson missing-persons case.
