North Myrtle Beach Spokesman Pat Dowling says it is unlikely council will take action on the proposed ordinance now until next tourist season.

After complaints by beach-goers about people fishing in the surf, council was considering placing restrictions on when and where surf fishing was allowed. For more on that, click here.
