MYRTLE BEACH -- When a Myrtle Beach taxi driver picked up a fare and a couple started fighting, he did the logical thing - he dropped them off at the police station.

The driver picked up three people early Wednesday morning and the couple in the cab began to physically attack each other, according to a police report.

The cab driver said he tried to break up the fight, but was not successful.

The taxi driver drove to the police station, told all three people to get out of the cab and blew the horn to inform police officers he was there.

Ronald Lee Viar was charged with Public Intoxication, Criminal Domestic Violence and Simple Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Wendy Cantrell was charged with Criminal Domestic Violence.

The Associated Press contributed to this report
