Myrtle Beach police say a gun was stolen from a car that was parked in the valet parking lot at the Marriott on Costa Verde Drive.
A valet reported he went into the coded valet room at about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday and found eleven valet keys were missing. He called hotel management, who called police.
They found all the keys in a pile on the ground in between two vehicles in the parking lot.
Hotel management called the vehicle owners. One reported a fully-loaded gun was stolen from his glove box. Various other items were stolen from the cars as well.
A hotel security office told police she saw two suspicious teenagers by the loading docks about 2 a.m. Wednesday who took off running when they saw her. She said they may be staying at the hotel.
The gun was entered into a national database, listed as stolen.
