The West Florence Fire Department responded to a scrap metal yard on North Pecan Drive at 12:04 p.m. Wednesday to find a crane on fire.

Firefighters used 3,000 gallons of water and fire retardant foam in order to control the fire.

Captain Anthony Fox says leaking hydraulic fluid caused the fire.

No one was hurt.
