Deputies continue to search for Les Crowley, 39, of Darlington County after officers went into his home Thursday night and found an arsenal of weapons and materials associated with items to make bombs.
Officers went to serve Crowley with a warrant out of Florence county at his home on Howle Street near Hartsville when they found the weapons.
Crowley is wanted out of Florence County for failure to stop for a blue light after deputies say he led them on a chase, Wednesday afternoon.
Crowley was spotted in his car in the parking lot of the Haven Apartment Complex with a handgun and AR-15 Rifle, according to Captain Michael Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff's Office.
Nunn says when deputies approached Crowley's car he refused to get out and then led them on a chase.
They ended the chase when it reached dangerous speeds approaching traffic.
Deputies believe crowley could be driving a dark-green, four-door, 2010 Toyota Tacoma pickup with South Carolina tag AUB491.
They say he is to be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
Deputies evacuated Crowleys neighbors out of their home as a safety precaution until they determined there were no bombs or explosive devices in Crowley's house.
"The cops were breaking down my neighbors door and they said that , they come out and they had guns pointed at the house," said Daisy Moore, Crowley's neighbor.
Moore says she doesn't know much about Crowley, but remembered a conversation they had a while ago.
"Les really only talked about college . He said that he dropped out and he went back for a four year degree and then he went to the military. The last time he ever told me anything about what he done he said in his life was that he worked for the government."
Others say he works as an electrical technician at a company in McBee.
Moore says Crowley appeared to be a good guy.
"He was nice, if we ever needed milk or sugar, we'd go next door and he would give it to us. You know he was a sweet, never cussed, never disrespectful. He was just a nice guy."
Moore added they had concerns about the number of packages that were delivered to his home on a weekly basis.
"There was quite a few times where there would be like 8 or 9 packages on the door step for him. We didn't know what was in them. We just left them there."
We're told Crowley has been entered in a national crime database for wanted persons.
If you have any information on his whereabouts you're asked to call the Darlington County Sheriff's Office at (843) 398-4501 or the Florence County Sheriff's Office at (843) 665-2121.
