A developing area of low pressure off of the South Carolina coast will head Northeast today. The chance for rain and storms will taper off during the afternoon with mainly isolated to widely scattered storms possible. The next few days will still hold on to the chance for a few pop up afternoon storms, but more heat is on tap. Clouds today will keep the temps in the mid to upper 80s, but low to mid 90s arrive for the end of the week.
A disturbance out in the Atlantic is showing a medium potential for tropical development over the next few days. It has a 50% chance for development over the next 2 days and at this time, forecast models take this toward the Caribbean.
