Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick says David Alan Tomlin, 60, of Ravenel died in a crash Wednesday.
Highway patrol says Tomlin was driving a pick-up truck that slammed into the back of a dump truck at the two mile marker of Highway 22, not far from Highway 501, about 1:40 p.m.
The pick-up was towing a trailer at the time of the crash.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The driver of the dump truck was not hurt.
