The State Law Enforcement Division arrested former Horry County Deputy Kendall Grey Caulder, 58, of Conway, Thursday. They charged him with Assault and Battery Third Degree.
The warrant says Caulder slapped a woman on the thigh and bit her on the stomach, causing bruising, on June 23 in the Red Bluff area.
SLED says it investigated Caulder at the request of the Horry County Sheriff's Office.
He was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
