Son finds parents dead in home

Major Howard Branch with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office says Paul Adams, 62, and his wife, Kathy Adams, 56, were found shot to death in their home, Wednesday.

Branch says their son discovered their bodies at the home on Old Whiteville Road in East Lumberton.

The son lives next door to his parents.

Branch says they are treating the deaths as a double homicide at this time.

The victims bodies are being sent to Chapel Hill for an autopsy.
