"They've taken away a lot of my lifeline. A lot of My independence. They've taken it," Sharon Vaught says of her handicap accessible van that was struck during a police chase early Wednesday morning.

Vaught suffers from Multiple Sclerosis, an autoimmune disease that affects the nervous system and she depends on that van to get to her doctors appointments to help her fight this disease.

"I have no idea what I'll do to get to the doctors appointments. I am waiting on an appointment right now that is very critical at the medical university," Vaught said.

She adds she is very thankful that nothing happened to her home, or that a car wreck only happened outside in the driveway, not making it's way to a family bedroom.

Horry County Police confirm they assisted with a car chase on Castlewood Drive. We're still waiting for more details from Highway patrol about the chase.
