Disabilities Foundation needs help to win national contest

The Florence County Disabilities Foundation is one of 10 organizations from around the country to be a finalist for the BB&T Lighthouse Project Spirit Awards.

BB&T and Prime Rate Financial employees have volunteered with the Disabilities Foundation for many of their events and projects.

The Florence County Disabilities Foundation serves more than 1,200 individuals with disabilties and special needs to provide for their everyday living, as well as employment and special events.

The Lighthouse Project Spirit Award is an online contest that includes a $5,000 prize to the winner.

To vote for the Florence County Disabilities Foundation, click here. Voting ends at midnight on Sunday, July 8th.
