Saturday at Noon is the deadline to apply for an alligator hunting permit. The Department of Natural Resources says it's a growing sport in South Carolina and DNR only selects a few people to permit.

If chosen, you are allowed to take three assistants to either the Bear Island or Santee Coastal Wildlife Management areas, and you can bag up to two alligators.
