A juvenile was robbed after he said he came up on a man writing a gang name in the sand around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and started walking with him.
Police charged Jeffery Neal Harris with armed robbery, kidnapping, unlawful carrying of a pistol, receiving stolen goods, trespassing, and loitering.
The juvenile told police when he came up behind the man later identified as Harris, the man jumped, but then began acting friendly. The juvenile said he thought he knew the man, so he followed him to an unknown location. He told police the man said his nickname was "Blunt," but that he was also known as Tristen.
The juvenile said he and the man walked into a dark walkway, where the man pulled out a gun and ordered the victim to give him everything in his pockets.
The juvenile gave over his iPod, cell phone, and $220 in cash.
The juvenile told police the man ordered him to walk and followed him. Then he told the juvenile to run to the beach or he would get shot.
