FLORENCE COUNTY -- A paving contractor with a history as a scam artist is in a Florence County courtroom this morning.

Saturday afternoon, Tommy Clack was booked into the Florence County Detention Center.

According to the center's website, he is in for "court-in for general sessions."

Clack's trial today is on charges he bilked four customers out of $90,000.

Clack is known for doing substandard work and overcharging customers.

Kathy Graham, with the Better Business Bureau, says she has a long list of unanswered complaints against Clack, who also faces charges in North Carolina, Florida, and Maryland.
