A Loris man was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to murder, according to the Horry County Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor's Office.
John Lee Monroe Scott, 37, killed Johnny Ray Caulder at B and M Interiors in Little River in November 2010.
Scott slashed Caulder's throat and stole his cigarettes after an argument turned physical in the parking lot.
Police also charged Jeffrey Landacre with Accessory After the Fact of the Felony because they say he knew Caulder had been assaulted and did nothing to stop it.
Scott was sentenced by Circuit Judge Larry Hyman.
