Police are investigating a double shooting at Mount Zion Apartments on South Church Street in Florence, Thursday afternoon.
Florence Police Major Carlos Raines said three men came to an apartment, armed with guns and tried to rob a man who lived there.
Raines said there was a struggle and the victim and suspect were shot.
Both are being treated at a hospital for their injuries and are expected to be OK.
The two other men got away.
Officers have sealed off much of Mount Zion Apartments with crime scene tape as they investigate.
A 27-year-old resident of the complex said he saw the three men running from the apartment and one had a gun in his hand.
He said he notified the apartment manager and scurried to get all the children inside.
Raines says officers are combing the area looking for the men who left the scene.
