Michael Jackson, 25, was arrested in Richland County for giving false information to officers on May 31.
Darlington police say the day before, Jackson forced the victim into the victim's car at gunpoint and drove off. The victim says when Jackson stopped the car, he jumped out and Jackson fired shots at him as he ran away.
The victim was hurt.
Darlington police will charge Jackson with Carjacking, Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
