Police arrested Antonio Goncalves in Wilmington, North Carolina for attacking two people with a hatchet in Myrtle Beach.
Police say about 4:15 a.m. Wednesday, Goncalves showed up to a woman's apartment and swung the hatchet at one of the victims, hitting him in the head. The victim's roommate came over from across the street and police say Goncalves hit him in the chest.
The victims ran back to their apartment to call police. When officers got there, they say one of the victims had an open wound and was covered in blood. Both victims were both taken to the hospital.
Police say Goncalves is the ex-boyfriend of the woman who lived in the apartment.
