A Myrtle Beach woman stabbed a man in the leg during an argument, then put the knife back in the knife block before leaving the home, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.
Police charged Kelly Jean Shields, 52, with Aggravated Assault following the stabbing at a townhouse at 1409 Highway 15 around 1:55 p.m. Thursday.
A man told officers Shields stabbed him in the right leg and left the home. He said he didn't know if she still had the knife with her, according to the report.
Police searched the property and found Shields at a neighbor's apartment. They say she told them she put the knife back in the block on the kitchen counter.
Shields is being held at the Myrtle Beach jail.
The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. His condition has not been released.
