MYRTLE BEACH -- Lavin Cars, a used car dealership in Myrtle Beach, is closed and company officials aren't saying why.

The dealership on Jason Blvd. has been shut down since Monday, with cars parked to block off entrances to the business and security guards turning people away.

A man who answered the phone at Lavin said the dealership was going through a transition phase, but he would not give details about why it had closed or when, if ever, the business would reopen.

According to their web site, the dealership was founded by Harry Lavin and his two sons in 1987.
