The Lake City School District's public information officer, Brian Huckabee, says around 5:45 p.m. a special needs bus was involved in a wreck on Dennis Road.
Huckabee says there was one student on the bus. He says the child's parent picked up the student from the scene and was advised to take the child to the hospital to be examined.
Huckabee says the district's transportation director is in route to the scene to get more details on the accident. Highway Patrol is investigating.
