Christopher Eugene Stamey
Horry County police charged Christopher Eugene Stamey, 27, of Conway, with Involuntary Manslaughter for the death of a 21-month-old boy.
Police say, earlier this month, Stamey was driving the boy on an ATV on Pee Dee Highway when the vehicle flipped over, causing severe head trauma to the boy.
He was pronounced dead on April 6.
The boy was not wearing the required head protection while riding on the ATV, said police.
Monday, police say Stamey turned himself in at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
