Darlington County deputies charged Tonya Jackson, 51, with attempted murder after they say she beat him with his own cane.

Deputies say she got into an argument with the 86-year-old over money at their home in the 2200 block of Rock Crest Drive outside of Hartsville.

At about 12:15 a.m., they say she beat him in the face and head with his cane.

He was taken to the hospital with serious injures.
