With extra cash in his pocket and a lucky feeling, a Myrtle Beach teen took a chance on a lottery ticket and won $100,000. Sunhouse Petroleum #11 at 2689 Highway 90 in Conway sold the winning ticket.
"Lucky me," the 18-year-old said. "I felt good when I bought that one."
The first person he told was his mom. He asked her for a ride to Columbia.
The two left home at 5:30 a.m. to collect the cash.
As for his plans, he's keeping his options open.
"I'm saving it," he said at first. "I'll need the cash for school," he added.
One top prize of $100,000 remains in the $5 Triple the Money game.
The odds of winning $100,000 are one in 432,000.
