Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for parts of Grand Strand, Pee Dee

In 1998 Victoria was named Assistant News Director/Reporter for the Myrtle Beach bureau and in 1999 became News Director.

The following counties in our area are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m. Thursday:

Darlington, Horry, Florence, Marion, Georgetown

The watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms which can include damaging winds and hail.
