Aynor Police Sgt.David Thompson says someone is calling from out of state claiming to be conducting a fundraiser for Aynor High School.
Thompson says one time, the caller claimed to be raising money for the football team. Another time, he says they claimed to be helping the cheerleading squad. He says Aynor High School has no type of phone solicitation fundraiser going on.
Police are trying to figure out where the calls are coming from. They contacted the Better Business Bureau in that area code.
Sgt. Thompson warns you not to give money over the phone to anyone claiming to be from Aynor High School at this time.
