Hit and run driver arrested in Darlington

Darlington police say a 13 year old girl was struck by a car on Edwards Avenue in Darlington just after 7:00 p.m. Friday night.

Darlington Police Chief Danny Watson says the driver did not stop, and was arrested after a foot chase near his home.

Jesse Blathers, Jr., 20, faces a charge of hit and run with personal injury.

The girl was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, she is expected to be all right.
