NewsChannel 15 got a phone call on Monday, asking us to find out if guns had been brought to Dillon High School by a student.
Officials with the Dillon County Sheriff's Office released information to us Tuesday afternoon.
Captain Cliff Arnette says last month the school resource officer got a tip that a student had weapons inside his car.
After an investigation, officers say they found a shot gun and hand gun inside a car on campus.
Arnette says they've charged Hykine Sewell, 19, with carrying weapons on school grounds.
We asked the school's resource officer if Sewell had been expelled. He would only say Sewell is not allowed on campus.
