School bus rear-ended in Florence County

FLORENCE -- Highway Patrol is at the scene of an accident involving a school bus on Southborough Road in Florence County.

It happened about 4:30 Thursday afternoon.

Officials with Florence School District One say the bus was rear-ended by a SUV.

They say 19 students were on board coming from West Florence High School. They were not hurt and have been placed on another bus to be taken home.

District officials say the driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital.

We'll let you know if any charges are filed.
