The Coastal Carolina University basketball player who was arrested for assault over the weekend, was released from J. Reuben Long Detention Center Tuesday afternoon, according to online records.
A circuit court judge released Christopher Joseph Gradnigo, 22, on a personal recognizance bond, according to Horry County Senior Assistant Solicitor Brad Richardson.
Gradnigo was charged Sunday with 1st Degree Assault & Battery, Kidnapping and Burglary following an incident involving a woman at a University Place apartment.
However, Richardson said the victim requested the Burglary and Kidnapping charge against Gradnigo be dismissed during Tuesday's bond hearing. Richardson said the victim's request was taken into consideration when Gradnigo was released.
Richardson is currently reviewing the case and evidence to determine if the two charges will be dropped.
