St. James Middle School in Murrells Inlet has been evacuated due to a bomb threat.

The Horry County bomb squad is responding with a bomb dog. Sgt. Robert Kegler says there was writing on a bathroom wall indicating the possibility that a bomb was inside the school.

Parents are asked to contact the Horry County school district regarding the students. The number is (843) 488-6700.

We will post more details as they come in.
