It's wasn't just pizza and soda on the menu at Rotelli's in Conway Wednesday night. Politics was also on the menu. More than 50 members of the Horry County Republican Party filled a room with several screens projecting the latest GOP debate in Michigan.
Among debate watchers' top concerns: immigration, jobs, and taxes.
The debate lasted for nearly two hours. Here's a full recap of the debate from CNBC, who hosted the debate.
Among the big highlights, Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry made a flub towards the end. Perry said he would eliminate three federal agencies. He named the Commerce and Education departments but drew a blank on the third, even with suggestions volunteered by his rivals. The third, the Energy Department, came to him much later. Perry laughed it off, only saying "oops."
Fox News and the South Carolina GOP will hold a "First in the South" debate on January 16th, roughly two months away from Wednesday night's debate in Michigan. Did you watch the debate? What do you hope to hear between now and Myrtle Beach's debate date?
