Teenagers strolling through the mall Friday got in important message. "Don't smoke. And if you already do, quit."

Smoke Free Horry set up at Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach to show teens and kids the dangers of smoking.

"Studies have shown that the best way to lower the smoking rate are to effectively stop them from smoking in the first place and one of the easiest ways to do that is we can encourage youth to never to start smoking in the first place," said Ty Grissett with Smoke Free Horry.

The group also wants kids to share the message with their parents.

All Horry County residents are eligible for free quit smoking services.  For more information, you can call 1-800-QUIT-NOW.
