HBO's "Eastbound & Down" pulls no punches when poking fun at any subject.
The main character, Kenny Powers, played by actor Danny McBride, puts down his boss when asked if he does triathalons, "I play real sports… not trying to be the best at exercising."
This rude-crude humor is what the series' producers are hoping will be the draw for their open casting call for extras at BB&T Coastal Baseball Field this week.
Producers will accept submissions from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and are looking for people of all ages and ethnicities to work on the third season of the HBO show.
The HBO show also stars actor, Matthew McConaughey, who is expected to be in Myrtle Beach this week during shooting.
"We're expecting around a 100 people here today," says Myrtle Beach Pelicans Director of Community Relations Julie Borshak. "But, this is our first time doing something like this." She says the Pelican's organization is only hosting the event, and HBO crews will head up the process.
Borshak said she wasn't sure when McConaughey will be on set. "I don't know when he'll be in town or if he'll be in town for this shoot."
Extras will be paid. Casting associates have a specific interest in baseball coaches, trainers and umpires, as well as Hispanic families. Producers ask that if you are interested in the open casting call bring a recent, clear photograph.
